Wow. Haven't updated this page in a year or two. I sometimes go to stage
productions, although it's been a while now.
- Really Useful Theatre Co., who do all of
Andrew Lloyd-Webber's works. I'm quite partial to a couple of them, especially Phantom and Cats. Not so thrilled with
some of the others, though.
- Jekyll & Hyde , the fascinating play by
Frank Wildhorn and Leslie Bricusse. I've listened to it a number of times, but still
haven't seen it. I also still need to read the original book.
- Les Miserables, the fantastic show by
Schoenberg and Boublil. This is probably my favorite musical. I've only seen
it once, at the National Theatre, but I've
listened to it many dozens of times. I'm very partial towards the Complete
Symphonic Recording.
Since I'm in the DC area, I should note the sites of the local theatres:
- the aforementioned National Theatre
- the Ford Theatre, which I haven't been
to in ten or fifteen years, but which does have a lot of history.
- the Kennedy Center, which is a very nice
place, but just a tad expensive for most things. They do have a movie theatre
inside, however, which occasionally shows interesting things.
- the DC Shakespeare Theatre, currently about
to show Twelfth Night
