Sports Bookmarks
What is going on in the world of sports these days. Here are a lot of sites that
provide more information. I've moved all the newspapers to a separate page, so click here if you want to peruse the headlines.
There is no real pattern to this eclectic group of links, in case you're looking for
one. :) You should be able to find what you want somewhere in here, however. :) If not,
check the newspapers.
- College Hockey
- And be sure to check out my alma mater, RPI.
They were very solid last year, and look even better this year, having suffered
only one loss in their first seven games. Now comes the real test, though, with the
north country trip against Clarkson and St. Lawrence.
- I've also been a fan of The
Caps for more years than I'd like to admit. At least they didn't embarass me a
couple of years ago. Still, last year was truly awful, and this year is quickly
headed in the same direction. Let's face it, one two-game winning streak after about
fifteen games is absolutely pathetic. *sigh* The only real bright spot is that
the young talent is contributing a great deal.
- Baltimore
Orioles Homepage ; after the last couple of seasons, I find myself wondering why
I bother. The personnel decisions make no sense. After all, what could they be
thinking, getting Seattle's old bullpen? They'd have to work fairly hard to find a
worse one. And now, of course, with a number of huge names floating across the trade
market, guess which team isn't mentioned in any of the trade rumors? It can't be a
money issue, because they keep paying top dollar for second-rate talent.
I really wish that we could get more football, err... soccer, here in the US.
It's great to watch DC
United, but it definitely isn't English Premier
League or Serie
A. At least we can get Premier League highlights on HTS at home. Now if we could only get entire
games, I'd be fairly happy.
