Personal CAD Projects

Hey, in case you are wondering what this page is all about, I'll tell ya. See, I really enjoy designing things, whether they be for class or for my personal life. What I enjoy almost as much as designing things is working out all the details in a 3-Dimensional CAD system. This page is dedicated to all the personal projects that I designed on Pro Engineer and models I created on Pro Engineer to try and figure out how to effectively use new functions.

The first thing I am going to show you is a model I created in which my main goal was merely to play around and try to figure out a couple new functions.

The next image is a bed frame which I designed. I was sick of wasting the space under my bed and having a lot of different furniture so I designed this bed to have 3 drawers on either side of the bed so I would not need a dresser. I am not sure I like the design enough yet to build it. Once I work om it a little more and get it the way I like it I will actually build a functional model.

The next 2 images are of a bed box I designed for my Ranger. This bos is designed to hold all my tools securely plus have a large section which will be an enclosed sand box. The Sand box is this large for a few reasons. First os all, I need some extra weight over the rear wheels in order tohave better traction. Second, I need sand for the winter in case I get caught in the snow and need a little extra traction to get moving. Third, I want to have it large enough for people to be able to play with the toys I plan on keeping in the box as well.

The next image is of a flower I made and sent to Bobbi in the mail. This didn't turn out quite the way I wanted it to but I like it anyway and she did too.

The next 2 images are of a shelf I designed to fit around a window so I could still have shades on the window and open them when I wanted but still have access to whatever was on the shelf when the shades or drapes were closed. The plant in the secon picture is a quick model of my spider-plant: Peter. I have had Peter ever since third grade.

The final image I have to show is of a birthday cake and candles which I made and put on the web for Bobbi to see on her birthday since I couldn't make it to New York for her birthday in 1996.
